How to Prepare Date Seed Coffee
Since the powder is coarsely ground, straining is recommended for the best texture and taste. You can enjoy it in four easy ways:
1. Black Coffee
Boil 1 cup of water + 1 tsp date seed powder for 3–5 minutes.
Let it steep for a few seconds, then strain and sip warm.
2. Hot Coffee with Plant-Based Milk
Boil ½ cup water + 1 tsp date seed powder.
Turn off the heat, add ½ cup coconut or almond mylk + jaggery powder, date syrup or any natural sweetener.
3. Hot Coffee with Dairy Milk
Boil ½ cup water + 1 tsp date seed powder. Add ½ cup cow milk and simmer.
Strain, sweeten if desired, and enjoy hot.
4. Cold Coffee
Mix 1 cup chilled plant-based milk + 1 tsp date seed powder + 1 tbsp jaggery powder
Let it steep for 10–15 minutes, then strain and serve over ice.
For a stronger flavour, use 1 tbsp powder and steep longer.
