How is pure thread rock candy prepared?

Pure dhaga mishri is traditionally prepared through a slow 7–15 day crystallization process. Fresh sugarcane juice is gently boiled into a syrup, natural cotton threads are placed in it, and the syrup is left undisturbed so crystals can naturally form on the threads. This process results in naturally formed brown mishri crystals.
